I’m Angela and I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2013 aged 36.
I’ve learned so many life lessons through the challenges of living with Parkinson’s – and I’m always still learning. Through my blogs I hope to share some of the lessons I’ve learned in case they might help anyone. I also hope to raise awareness about Parkinson’s – especially the fact that it doesn’t just affect older people and that symptoms are many and varied.
It’s not just about Parkinson’s, life brings challenges to all of us. Parkinson’s may add that extra challenge, but it’s also made me focus on my priorities and appreciate all the good things in my life.
Like my Parkinson’s symptoms, my blog topics are wide and varied, and perhaps sometimes unexpected. From helter-skelters, flamingos and dragons; to slowing down and standing tall; from chasing bubbles, baking and QWERTY keyboards; to summer holidays, cryptic crosswords and singing. This is my life with Parkinson’s.
